Subex has published the findings of its annual Threat Landscape Report 2019. The report, prepared using threat intelligence gathered from Subex’s global honeypot network now operational in 62 cities globally, has presented 10 key global trends that have the most significant implications for enterprises, governments, citizens, and other stakeholders.

IoT adopters, quite rightly, have serious concerns about the security of the IoT devices and networks that they deploy. Why? Because security is yet to be built into the design phase of these devices; they are inherently insecure — and future manufacturers must respond to this. Research carried out by the IMC, (the International IoT M2M council) and commissioned by Pod Group confirms this.

In the last two decades, we have seen unprecedented investments in expanding India’s infrastructure across sectors. Railways, highways, ports, power plants, manufacturing, communications, to name a few, have all witnessed significant capacity enhancements. The newly augmented capacity has contributed its might in moving the wheels of the Indian economy and in attracting investments thereby raising India as a nation to reckon with.

Bengaluru, There has been a 26 per cent increase in cyber attacks in India and Mumbai, New Delhi and Bengaluru together accounted for roughly 38 per cent of all attacks in the July-September period, a new report said on Wednesday. The report prepared by Bengaluru-headquartered telecom solutions provider Subex identified over 3,500 modular malware samples in the country, registering a whopping 37 per cent increase.

IN THE FIRST half of this year, no country endured more cyber-attacks on its Internet of Things—the web of internet-connected devices and infrastructure—than India did. So asserts Subex, an Indian telecommunications firm, which produces regular reports on cyber-security. Between April and June alone, it said, recorded cyber-attacks jumped by 22%, with 2,550 unique samples of malware discovered. Some of that malicious code is turning up in hair-raising places.
